Is Your Opt-In Form Driving Away Customers?

Over the years, we've all been taught that the best way to grow a sizeable mailing list is to give our visitors a great offer they can't say no to. And the most common way to attract more traffic and readers is to pay or trade with another marketer to have a popup window or hover ad on their site with your offer and hope that the visitors will be intrigued enough to sign up.

But more recently, we're learning that
popup ads, hover ads and all those other gimmicks are simply driving visitors AWAY and leaving us with no sales and an unresponsive list.

Until now, there wasn't a sure-fire way to get your ad noticed without getting on people's nerves. One ad network is looking to change that - and do it all for free.

It's called SlideUpAds
- CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE

SlideUpAds is a unique, eye-catching way to advertise your site across an entire network without having to resort to distracting popups or banners.

With SlideUpAds, your ad appears at the bottom frame of the user's screen, so they can still scroll on the web page without being interrupted on whatever they're viewing. Since your ad slides up from the bottom gradually (and quickly), it's more likely to get noticed without being distracting and abruptly closed.

SlideUpAds costs nothing to join and there's no charge for any advertising.

You simply fill out a short form and get the details of your account, then upload your ad and you're ready to go! It's simple and straightforward and most ads can be online within a few minutes.

For a limited time, SlideUpAds is also opening the doors to what they call a "Viral Marketing Avalanche". If you refer a friend and THEY join, you get 100% of that person's credits. If your friend refers a friend, you get 100% of THEIR credits too! Of course, your friends still get to keep their credits, but it's like getting double or even triple the exposure without doing any extra work!

Many people are reporting terrific success with SlideUpAds, particularly where popups and hover ads simply haven't performed well in the past. Consider testing your current opt-in form with SlideUpAds and gauge the response for yourself - you may be pleasantly surprised at the results!

                                                              LEPRECHAUN MICKEY MOUSE

According to Wikipedia: "Mickey Mouse is a
comic animal cartoon character who has become an icon for
The Walt Disney Company. Mickey Mouse was created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks[1] and voiced by
Walt Disney. The Walt Disney Company celebrates his birth as
November 18, 1928 upon the release of
Steamboat Willie.[2] The anthropomorphic
mouse has evolved from being simply a character in animated cartoons
and
comic strips to become one of the most recognizable symbols in the world."

According to the
Columbia Encyclopedia: "Leprechaun lep'r?kon, Irish fairy represented as a tiny old man.
Leprechauns are mischievous and elusive creatures, said to possess buried crocks of gold, the location of which they will reveal if forced."

The Disney Company has depicted Mickey Mouse as a leprechaun at various times in pins, snowglobes, ornaments, and dolls. These items are extremely cute and may even bring you the "luck of the Irish."

In honor of Mickey, Walt Disney, and the wonderful Irish, I have composed a ditty which you may copy and use for any noncommercial purposes:

To The Irish and How They Are Lucky!

                                     Leprechaun Mickey and Disney Walt,
Each heartily hoisted his Irish double malt.
Then Leprechaun Mickey, his glass still held high,
Put forth this ditty with a whimsical sigh:
"A toast to the land and the good ole days,
                                     To
Ireland
, the Lucky Irish, and the Irish ways.
To dew and four-leaf clovers that sprout in the dells,
To the wee little folk and their magical spells.
To beautiful pastures, rolling and green,
To nubile young lasses as fair as any seen.
Lucky is the man who in
Ireland
grows old.
Better that fate than to find my Pot O' Gold!"

We carry a beautiful DISNEY IRISH LEPRECHAUN MICKEY CHRISTMAS DISC ORNAMENT NEW at our online store.  It is about 4 inches in diameter and is in the shape of a lucky four leaf clover. It shows Leprechaun Mickey standing next to a pot of gold with a rainbow behind him. The back says: "Happy St. Patrick's Day!"

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America Bans Drug Rep Logo Gifts To Doctors

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) recently announced that new rules, to take
effect
January 1, 2009, will ban the giving of drug rep logo gifts to doctors by drug company sales representatives. For collectors, this will mean that drug rep logo items will become much more difficult to obtain as new drug rep logo items
will no longer be manufactured and supply will be fixed to existing inventory in the market place. This should also mean significant appreciation in the value of previously issued drug rep logo items and in the value of existing collections.

The PhRMA association represents pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and is made up of executives from companies in the industry. Its CEO, Billy Tauzin, said he hopes the code additions will create "more credible" standards
for doctor-sales rep interactions.

"I don't think you'll find a physician who will acknowledge that the gift of a pen or a cup with a company's name on it influences their prescribing patterns," he said. "But there are people who believe that, and as long as that's a perception
out there we felt we ought to end that."

The nonprofit organization No Free Lunch, which is run by a New York-based internist, is one of the organizations that
has been critical of drug rep logo gifts to doctors.  It encourages medical school students to pledge to refuse to accept
free gifts or meals from drug companies.

Dr. Brian Hurley, president of the American Medical Student Association, calls the new rules an improvement but says
they don't go far enough. He said gifts given to doctors as educational materials or occasional meals are still gifts. "Aggressive" marketing practices have made drug companies a lot of money, he said. "Educational gifts or
educational programming that pharma's member companies put together are marketing in disguise," he said.

Members of PhRMA are required to state their intention to comply with the code. Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co., Amgen Inc., Eli Lilly & Co. AstraZeneca PLC and EMD Serono were among the companies that did so recently.
